Pegg and Jeff Sutton, proprietors of Bullock Counties newest industry: To Your Health Organic Sprouted Flour Company, breaks ground in Fitzpatrick, Alabama.

25 Years Ago - 1995

Walt Spratlan will have an exhibition of his Graphic Arts and other visual art work at the Union Springs Carnegie Library during the Pilgrimage, May 6. Walt was the winner of the Logo Competition for the Sesquicentennial Celebration. Walt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dean Spratlan of Hardaway.

The American Legion Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Leola Cobb. The usual order of business was conducted by Ms. Ella Ruth Hall.

50 Years Ago - 1970

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Earl Montgomery announce the birth of a son born April 3, 1970 at Bullock County Hospital whom they have named Clinton Earl.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Main motored to Mobile, Ala. Saturday and visited beautiful Bellingrath Gardens Sunday.

75 Years Ago - 1945

S. Sgt. and Mrs. S. P. Rainer, III, of Selma, announce the birth of a son whom they have named Sterling Price Rainer, IV. Sgt. Rainer is at home on a furlough, at the present time, but is assigned to Camp Blanding, Fla.

Mrs. R. C. Branscomb and Mrs. Frank Anderson, Jr., were hostesses to Circle I of W. S. C. S. Monda with 16 members and two visitors present. Mrs. Farrior gave the devotional and Mrs. Martin, who was the leader for the afternoon, gave an article on Japan, after which a pleasant social hour was spent with refreshments served.

100 Years Ago - 1920

Adult Missionary Society No. 2 held its regular meeting at the Methodist church Monday afternoon. An interesting program was led by the president, Mrs. Will Turipseed. The subject was China, which was ably handled by Mrs. Lynn Jinks and Miss Corinne Dismukes.

Mrs. T. A. Wootton and her visitors, Mrs. W. L. Wooten and Mrs. P. H. Paschal, were the honorees at a picture show party given by Mrs. H. V. Jones on Thursday afternoon. After which delightful ices were enjoyed at the City Drug Store.
