The summer house in Oak Hill Cemetery will soon be restored after being torn away by Hurricane Opal last October.

Nathan and Becky Robinson of Owassa, Alabama announce the birth of their son, Thomas Fletcher, born July 10, 1996, at East Montgomery Medical Center. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. Proud grandparents are Tom and Laneen Bell of Downs, Alabama. Great grandmother is Lucy Davis of Fort Davis, Alabama.

Plans are finalized for the wedding of Penny Anne McCall and Mr. Robert D. Stuart for this coming Saturday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church at 105 North Prairie Street, downtown Union Springs, Alabama.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Morgan enjoyed the holiday weekend at the Cloister, Sea Island, Ga.

Mr. and Mrs. Darrell (Bud) Luckey announce the birth of a daughter on August 8, whom they have named Judith Ann.

Col. and Mrs. H. J. Rosenstihl and daughters, Caroline and Helen, of Union Springs were visitors to Downs on Sunday.

Mrs. Joe Johnston and children of Three Notch spent Thursday and Friday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Johns.
