The Conecuh Springs Christian School (CSCS) Eagles looked to rebound from their week one road loss this week in their home opener against Victory Christian.

After a pretty competitive first half, the Eagles were able to put away the game in the 3rd quarter and easily won the game with a score of 50-19. Leading the offense was Cesar Bravo-Mota, rushing the ball 11 times for 144 yards and one touchdown. Right behind him was his brother Sergio, who rushed for 57 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns.

Miguel Gudino also got in on the action with a three-yard rush. The Eagles were also reasonably effective through the air as Lott Putnam connected on 6 of 15 passes for 72 yards and three touchdowns.

On the receiving end of those touchdowns were Miguel Gudino (12 & 10 yards) and Richard Santay (3 yards). The Eagle defense stood strong all night by only allowing 12 points in the first half and only one touchdown with less than two minutes left in the game.

Leading the defense was Kevin Padilla with seven tackles and two assists. Cesar Bravo-Mota was also effective, tallying five tackles and one interception. Ivan Reyes-Bautista also contributed with four tackles and a safety.

The Eagles will have a week off before Marshall Christian visits on September 18, 2020, for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. All CSCS and Bullock Memorial alumni are encouraged to attend.
