The Eagles of Conecuh Springs won over Adullum Thursday night on the Eagles’ home court but it was not easy. The Eagles led throughout the game but Adullum pressed to come back but their extra effort was not successful.

It was a game the fans got into and two technical fouls were called as tempers flared. It was a case of two good teams fighting it out for a victory.

Lott Putnam and A. J. Taylor had 18 and 17 points respectively in the win for the Eagles. Miguel Gudino stepped up when needed to add 13 points. Caleb Smoker had five points and Tyler Culpepper had two.

The Eagles led at halftime 39-30 but Adullum pulled within two points once during the game. The Eagles are now 8-0 for the season. They travel later in the season to play Adullum and that should prove to be another good game to watch.

The varsity girls won over the Adullum girls by a score of 35-27. McKinley Renfroe led in scoring with 12 points. Laura Putnam was second high with eight followed by Ella Montgomery with seven.

The JV boys lost to Adullum by the score of 35 to 17. Caleb Smoker tossed in 12 points for the Eagles.

The Eagles play at home Friday night when they host Chilton. The varsity boys and girls will play beginning at 5:00 p.m.
