NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF UNION SPRINGS

PROPOSED NAME CHANGE OF STREET

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020, at the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m., via video and/or audio conference. The family of Victor Townsel has requested that Lynch Street be renamed: “Victor Townsel Lane”.

A copy of the Petition to Change Street Name is available at City Hall. Notification is given that any citizen or interested party may appear before Council on said date and will be given an opportunity to be heard in opposition to or in favor of the name change, or may direct written comments to the City Clerk, City Hall, P.O. Box 549, Union Springs, Alabama 36089, prior to the meeting.
