Robert (Bob) Eugene Adams, 91, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2020.
He was born in Waterloo, IA, the youngest of two boys to Sidney Frank Adams and Nealie Marie Gordon.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juliette Cope Adams, brother Sidney Gordon Adams, and his parents.
He is survived by three children: Kathryn (Bob) Wood of Jonesboro, GA, Marie (Steve) Fussell of Montgomery, and Rob (Connie) Adams of Union Springs. There are five grandchildren: Luke (Shana) Cuddy of Salem, MA, Daniel (Jessie) Adams of Union Springs, Joseph Adams of Huntsville, and Aspen, and Layton Adams of Union Springs and one great-grandchild: Juliette Cuddy of Salem, MA.
Bob Adams moved to Midway, AL, in 1936 with his father and brother after his mother passed away.
They moved to the farm in 1937, which is now Adams Angus Farm, which is now run by 3rd and 4th generation Adams men.
Bob was active in his community, including serving on Bullock Centennial Baptist Assoc., Bullock County Cattlemen’s Assoc., Alabama Angus Assoc., Bullock County Soil & Water Conservation Committee, Alabama Rural Electric Assoc., Dixie Electric Cooperative, Bullock County Farmer’s Federation, Charter Member of Alabama Beef Cattle Improvement Assoc., treasurer Midway Baptist Church and deacon at Midway Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Bob Wood, Steve Fussell, Daniel Adams, Joseph Adams, Hal Adams, and Guy Hall.
Visitation was held at Midway Baptist Church in Midway on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in Midway Cemetery with Rev. David Stewart officiating and Gray Funeral Home directing.
