Sgt. Major Kenneth Earl Thrasher, age 51, passed away peacefully from his earthly life on the morning of Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Jacksonville, Florida. Kenneth was born June 26, 1970, to Luckey and Mary Thrasher in Tuskegee, Alabama.
Kenneth was a graduate of Bullock County High School, class of 1988, and was a member of the Bullock County High School Marching Hornets. Kenneth was employed as a bus driver with the Jacksonville Public School System. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army for 26 years.
Kenneth was survived by: three children, Arantes (Diana) Thrasher of Columbia, SC, Diamond Thrasher of CO, and Kairo Jefferson of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Zoey Thrasher, Keais Thrasher, Amiyah McLamoore, Malachi McLamoore, and Taivonn McLamoore; mother-in-law, Anga Lee Robinson; one brother, Timothy Thrasher of Union Springs; one brother that preceded him in death, Alonzo Thrasher; ten aunts, Louise Allen, Josephine Allen, Jacquelyn Allen of Union Springs, AL, Nancy (Jeffery) Jones of Hughes Springs, TX, Catherine Thrasher of Rochester, NY, Rosie Lee (Henry) Thrasher of Union Springs, AL, Annie Joyce Finney of PA, Lizzie (Willie) Mitchell of Decatur, GA, Jennie (Douglas) Moore of Tuskegee, AL, Mary ANN (Johnny) Thomas of Union Springs, AL, and Lisa Calloway of Union Springs, AL; six uncles, Algae Lee Allen of Portsman, NH, Ronnie Allen of Waco, TX, Lawrence Allen of Dallas, TX, Douglas Allen of CA, Billy Thrasher of Rochester, NY, and Jessie (Betty) Calloway, Decatur, GA; three nephews, Alonzo Thrasher, Jr., Artarius Thrasher, and Paton Sellers; one niece, Ariana Thrasher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
