Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Eric ONeal Milbry, 44, of Union Springs, Alabama. Eric, an avid fan of Alabama Football peacefully transitioned into eternity on October 27, 2020.
Celebration of Life Services and Interment was held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Mt. Azure Baptist Cemetery of the Three Notch Community. Pastor Bruce Burks of the Mt. Azure and Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Churches will deliver the eulogy.
Public visitation was held Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home. All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings.
Eric O’neal Milbry “Punchie”, was born on July 8, 1976 in Tuskegee, Alabama to Henry T. Foxx and Ethel Milbry. Eric was born and raised in Midway, Alabama and later relocated to Union Springs, Alabama.
He confessed Christ at an early age at Mt. Azure Baptist Church in the Three Notch Community of Midway, Alabama. In 1994, he graduated from Bullock County High School in Union Springs, Alabama and from Fortis College, in 2012, with a diploma in HAVC-R Technology. Eric was a fun and loving person. He enjoyed his time as a freemason and was a big time Alabama “ROLL TIDE” fan. He also loved his BCHS Class of 94 classmates. Eric will truly be missed.
Eric was preceded in death by his loving mother, Ethel Milbry. Eric transitioned into eternity on October 27, 2020. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories: fiancé, Derinda Johnson and their son Eric Jr, Union Springs, AL;father, Henry (Martha) Foxx, Union Springs, AL; four sisters, Courtney Milbry, Union Springs, AL, Loukeisha (Lewis) Huff, Union Springs, AL; Lasheka Foxx, Euless, TX, and Angelice (Desmond) Lowe, Cecil, AL; six nephews, Keyontae Davis, Eljay Huff, King Huff, Navie Huff, Blue Huff and Desmond Lowe Jr; two nieces, Charity Austin and Keanna Lowe; special cousin, Kevin Harris and several best friends; Kevin Graves, Tracy Jones, Terrance Foster, Melvin Ligon and Edward Cox; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relative and friends.
