Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Mrs. Charline Rumph of Barbour County, Alabama. Mrs. Rumph, 87, peacefully transitioned into eternity on November 8, 2020.
Celebration of Life Services and Interment was held Saturday.
November 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from the Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery of Clayton, AL.
Pastor Joe N Grey of the Shady Grove Baptist Church delivered the message of comfort. Public visitation was held Friday, November 13, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.
All visitations and services were conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols. All attendees were required to wear appropriate facial coverings.
Mrs. Charline Rumph was born September 14, 1933, to the late Mr. Walter and Annie B. Rodgers in Bullock County Al.
She was married to Mr. C W Rumph for 69 years who preceded her in death. Mrs. Rumph was a devoted member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, Clayton Alabama.
On November 8, 2020, Mrs. Rumph was called to her heavenly home, at Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula, Al.
She was preceded in death by one son Theodore Rumph and two daughters: Lora Ann Rumph and Tracey Michelle Rumph. Six brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; Seven daughters Hattie Rumph of Asheville, North Carolina; Doretha Walker (Darwin Edwards) of Haines City Florida; Brenda Rumph of Rochester, New York; Sherry Rumph of Clayton, Alabama; Terry Rumph of Rochester, New York; Janice (Eddie) Jett of Clayton, Alabama; and Agnes (Derrick) Taylor of Eufaula, Alabama. Two sons; Willie (Bonnie) Rumph of Rochester, New York; and Jimmy (Lizz) Rumph of Eufaula, Alabama. Nineteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
