Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Ms. Arthureen Taylor, of Wetumpka, Alabama. Ms. Taylor, 61, a native of Union Springs, AL transitioned into eternal life on December 13, 2021, while in the comforting care of her healthcare professionals.

The Commemoration of Life began with a public visitation, Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home. Farewell services at the graveside will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from the Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Union Springs, AL. Pastor Ko’Derris Cowan officiated all services and Rev. Arthur Jones delivered the message of comfort. In accordance with recommended COVID-19 protocols, all attendees were requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Arthureen “Glenn” Taylor was born in Union Springs, Alabama on September 14, 1960, to the late Ms. Nona B. Taylor. The Commemoration of Life began with visitation on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Carter Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Farewell services at Graveside were held Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Ko’Derris Cowan, Sr. officiated and Pastor Arthur L. Jones delivered words of comfort.

Glenn was united with the Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church family under the leadership of Pastor Arthur L. Jones. Glenn departed this life on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the PHP Facility in Wetumpka, Alabama, entering eternal rest with her Heavenly Father and loved ones who preceded her in death.

Glenn was preceded in death by her mother, Nona B. Taylor; three sisters, Pastor Martha Oliver, Associate Pastor Ovetta Owens, and Culey Murphy; and two brothers, Jimmy and Ezell Taylor. Glenn leaves to cherish her memories five sisters, Essie Anderson, Detroit, MI; Johnnie Martin, Union Springs, AL; Mary Snipes, Montgomery, AL; Lovice Helms, Chicago, IL; and Ann (Henry) Tolbert, Union Springs, AL; two brothers-in-law, Edgar Owens, Union Springs, AL and John Murphy, Montgomery, AL; two aunts, Mattie Jew and Minnie Taylor, both of Detroit, MI; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives, and friends.
