Club 3:16 enjoys camp

On Sunday and Monday, June 6 and 7, 2021, seven Bullock County Hornet football players showed off their skills at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and the University of Florida in Gainesville. Florida.

These seven students athletes are part of a youth Bible study group that has met every Thursday since March of 2020.

They call themselves Club 3:16 from the Bible verse John 3:16.

Club 3:16 is sponsored by Union Springs United Methodist Church.

Two chaperons drove the student-athletes down to Florida to be a part of a mega-prospect camp. Bullock County quarterback Robert Williams said, "I enjoyed the camp, and I learned so much."

Over forty universities were in attendance to analyze over 2,000 athletes. Offensive lineman Jonathan Shelly said, "This has really been good for my teammates and me. "

The trip included life management skills such as basic financial advice, the skill of tying a tie, and how to order a steak.

The Bible study group also had a devotional from Romans 10:9. Respect. Retire. Repent.
