Happy New Year! We all celebrated the New Year in different ways on Saturday. Some of us might have been home in our pajamas as the clock struck 12 while others might have been celebrating with our friends.

As a new year begins, we are all hopeful that it will bring peace, joy and healing to a hurting world. The last two years have been filled with upheaval for most of us. We have learned a lot but have also suffered a lot.

Thomas Jefferson said it best, “I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.” As we move forward in 2022, we must remember the past so that we can learn from it. But focus on the dreams of the future for that is what will sustain us.
