The state Christmas tree was delivered to the Alabama Capitol in downtown Montgomery.

This year’s tree is a 35-foot eastern red cedar grown in Fitzpatrick, which is in Bullock County.

The tree is displayed on the steps of the Capitol.

The tree will be decorated throughout the week ahead of the annual lighting ceremony on Friday, December 3, 2021. The Chunnenuggee Garden Club plans to attend the State Garden Club Tea at the Governors Mansion followed by the State Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
