According to Chief Felder, a shooting took place on March 20, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on the 600 block of Thomas Street in Union Springs, Alabama. An unknown black male subject discharged his firearm into an occupied building several times. The bullets struck two Union Springs residents, Abe Johnson and Leron Davis in the upper left arms.

The victims were transported to the Bullock County Hospital for evaluations. The injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening. The Union Springs Police Department is seeking the unknown shooter and the investigation is still open. No one has admitted to seeing the shooter.
