At the Union Springs City Council meeting, Councilman Eugene Faulk motioned to hold all funds sent monthly to the following entities until they begin attending city council meetings on the first Monday of each month: Bullock County Chamber of Commerce, Bullock County Humane Society, Union Springs Library, Union Springs/Bullock County Tourism Council, Bullock County Extension Service - 4H, Bullock County Hospital - Ambulance; SCADC, Chunnennuggee Fair, Crimestoppers, Bullock County Junior Miss, Black Belt Community Foundation, and the American Legion Post 2016.

Councilman Faulk wants accountability for monthly payments.

He wants these entities to give monthly reports to let the council know where the money is going.

Councilman Faulk stated, "The citizens of Union Springs deserve the very best. We should not pay any auxiliaries unless they come to the first city council meeting each month."

City Councilman Louis Murray seconded the motion, and City Councilman Pugh voted for it. Mayor Roderick Clark voted against it.
