The Bullock County Commission held a Special Called Meeting on December 28, 2021, in the Commission Chamber of the Courthouse. Roll call was answered by Commissioners Don Larkins, Johnny Adams, and John McGowan.

Bullock County Sheriff Raymond Rodgers gave the invocation, and all gave the pledge of allegiance to the USA flag.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the 2009 bond series payoff.

The meeting lasted almost an hour in a lengthy discussion by the three commissioners, County Administrator Patrick Smith, County Engineer Jason Deshazo, County Attorney Johnny Waters, and Sheriff Rodgers.

The 2009 bond with a balance of about $390,000 must be paid before an application can be made for a $5 million bond issue to repave 69.8 miles of 19 roads in Bullock County.

The Letter of Intent to apply for Alabama Transportation Infrastructure Bank (ATIB) funds ($5 million bond issue) was signed at the Commissioners' recessed meeting on October 21, 2021.

Adams made the motion to pay off the current bond issue in January, seconded by Larkins. The motion was approved.
