Union Springs’ city streets were lined with American Flags in honor and respect for local veterans on Veterans Day. American Legion Post 2016 Auxiliary Unit #337, along with the Bullock County Extension and the Tourism Council of Bullock County, hosted the 28th Annual Bullock County Veterans Day Ceremony at the Bullock County Richard B. Stone Complex on Friday, November 11, 2022, which started at 11:00 a.m.

Stanley Cooks provided music, and several local entities made presentations (please see program). A sense of pride wrang through our city that day while patrons passed by downtown window displays of local veteran heroes and wreaths decorating the sides of the stone memorial in front of the Bullock County Courthouse.

For those who have served our country and those who are serving our country, we humbly thank you for your service and pray that you return to your loved ones safe and sound.
