The Alabama Historical Commission created the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage as a listing of historic resources in Alabama that are worthy of preservation (buildings, sites, structures, objects, districts, and cultural landscapes). These properties may be of national, state and local significance.

The designation is "honorary" and carries no restrictions or financial incentives. There are no streets in Bullock County officially designated as a "residential" historic district.

There are no "regulations" regarding restoration. The following is a list of the properties in Bullock County on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage, a list obtained from the Alabama Historical Commission.
