Christmas Day began early at First United Methodist Church as a happy group of volunteers gathered to prepare a traditional holiday meal of turkey, dressing, and all the fixings for the FREE DRIVE THRU CHRISTMAS DINNER.

For the past 20 years, this community outreach has been an important part of our church's commitment to this community.

Each year, FUMC welcomed guests into the sanctuary and fellowship hall for a special meal and toy giveaway for the children who attended. Last year Covid forced this event to be canceled.

Determined to find another way to serve our community and move forward through these trying times, the church organizers decided to offer drive-through meals for those who wished to receive a meal.

On Christmas Day, two hundred eighty plates were given out to people in our area.

First United Methodist Church is grateful to all the volunteers who contributed, cooked, served, and delivered meals to people in our community.

The experience was a blessing to all who participated.
