The 2022 Distinguished Young Women of Alabama Scholarship Program will be held in Montgomery on January 21 and 22, 2022.

The Bullock County DYW representative is Hendley Culpepper. She is a senior at Macon East Academy and the daughter of Shanna Spurlin Culpepper and Len Culpepper.

Miss Culpepper will arrive in Montgomery prior to the state program to begin her time practicing and attending various events in the Montgomery area, leading up to the finals on the 22nd of January.

While in Montgomery, she will stay with a DYW host family and she will be rooming with other DYW representatives.

Participants will compete for cash scholarships and college granted scholarships and the opportunity to represent the State as the Distinguished Young Woman of Alabama for 2022.

The young women competing will be evaluated by a panel of five judges in the following categories: scholastics (25%), interview (25%), fitness (15%), self-expression (15%), and talent (20%).
