Amerifirst presents donation check to Bullock County Humane Society

By Felicia Farnsworth

Amerifirst Bank held its first Customer Appreciation Day since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Amerifirst Bank Union Springs Branch Manager Erin Jackson organized the event with a dual purpose: "These events will be held every quarter, and a local non-profit organization will be chosen to receive the proceeds."

Jackson hopes these events will show appreciation to its customers and their support by giving back to the community. Bullock County Humane Society (BCHS) was the non-profit organization chosen to receive this event's proceeds.

On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Branch Manager Erin Jackson presented the Bullock County Humane Society's Board members with a donation check for the collected proceeds.

"We appreciate Amerifirst Bank's support and selecting Bullock County Humane Society as their non-profit beneficiary of Customer Appreciation Day. The Humane Society cannot exist without the community partnerships like Amerifirst Bank," commented BCHS Chairwoman Ginny Allen. "This donation will be used to purchase a replacement water heater for the shelter."
