Judge James E. Tatum

Judge James E. Tatum

I am excited and humbled to have been renominated by Alabama Secretary of State, John Merrill to continue to work with him and the United States Elections Assistance Commission Standards Board.

The Standards Board was created by the Help America Vote Act and consists of 55 chief election officials who are nominated by the Chief State Election Official. This board serves to advise the United States Elections Assistance Commission through a review of the voluntary voting systems guidelines, which are used by the commission to certify voting systems for use in United States Elections.

This will be Judge Tatum's second two year term serving on the standards board beginning April 13, 2021.
