The Red Door Theatre held a holiday workshop for students on December 28 and 29, 2021.

Ten local students, under the direction of Charity Smith, spent two days exploring a variety of rehearsal tools and techniques while applying and bringing together the disciplines of acting, singing, and dancing.

The students held a performance at the end of the workshop to showcase their skills to family and friends.

"It is exciting to see these students return to the stage," said Midge Putnam, the Tourism Council of Bullock County's Executive Director. "There is an abundance of talent in Bullock County and the Red Door Theatre is a great place to showcase it."

This workshop was funded by Big Cedar Education Foundation which allowed the students to attend free of charge.

The vision of the Big Cedar Education Foundation is one of empowering all children through learning.

The Red Door Theatre has offered summer camps for many years but this is the first time a holiday workshop has been offered.

The dates for the next summer camp is June 19-24, 2022. For more information call the Tourism Council of Bullock County at 334-738-8687 or visit http://www.reddoortheatre.org.
