Terronda Hooks was sworn in by Judge James Tatum as Union Springs City Clerk on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

Her step-father Sheriff Raymond “Buck” Rodgers held the Bible while Hooks took the oath.

Terronda Hooks said, “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the citizens of Union Springs for giving me the opportunity to serve as your City Clerk/Treasurer.

“I've been employed with the City of Union Springs for five years and served as your Assistant City Clerk.

“As I take on this new position, I will continue to serve the citizens of Union Springs to the best of my ability.

“I would like to personally thank Mayor Clark and the Union Springs City Council.

“May God continue to bless us all.”

Mayor Clark added, “I look forward to working with the newly appointed clerk, Terronda Hooks.”
