Members of the Bullock County Art Guild have secured permission from over twenty businesses downtown to paint a Christmas holiday design on their windows for the Christmas season.

Their purpose is to promote downtown pride and encourage people to come downtown for local shopping and downtown unification. The artists will be using water-based paints that should last during the Christmas season under normal weather conditions.

The labor and paint supplies/materials will be provided, but donations will be appreciated. The businesses will be receiving "custom window art" valued between $150 - $400 depending on the size and complexity of the art area that is painted.

Merchants have signed a "contract of agreement" for this "free project." Instructions on cleaning the windows after the Christmas season was attached to the agreements.

The Bullock County Art Guild heads this project in fellowship with:

1. Tourism Council of Bullock County

2. Bullock County Extension Center

3. Amerifirst Bank

4. Union Springs Chamber of Commerce

5. Community Bank & Trust

6. Bullock County Development Authority
