On March 22, 2021, Governor Kay Ivey announced suggestions for signage for business owners after the current state-wide health mask-wearing mandate ends on April 9, 2021.

She stated, "After April 9, masks will no longer be a mandate, but they remain one of the most successful tools we have to keep folks safe from COVID-19. I hope these (suggestions) are helpful to businesses around the state as they set their own protocols to operate safely. Masks are soon to be a memory but until then, let's wear them out!"

The mask signage options are: (1) Mask Preferred, (2) Mask Required for Service, (3) Please Wear a Mask, (4) Thank You for Wearing a Mask.
