The Conecuh Springs baseball team swept a double header from Victory Christian Academy of Columbus, MS on March 30, 2021 at Eagle Diamond.

In game one, Lott Putnam stymied the Mississippi hitters. He allowed no runs or hits in the mercy rule shortened game.

Putnam struck out ten hitters against one walk. Drew Wadsworth and Tyler Culpepper each had two hits for the home standing Conecuh Squad. The final score was 10-0 after four innings.

In game two, Conecuh Springs’ AJ Taylor had two hits and Kevin Padilla had two RBIs to lead Conecuh Springs on offense. The Eagles sped away in the bottom of the third inning posting 7 runs. The final score was also 10-0.

Diamond Eagles thwart Eastwood 12-1

Sergio Bravo Mota’s 2nd inning single to right field knocked in two Conecuh Springs runners and keyed a second inning offensive outburst that paced Conecuh Springs over Eastwood Classical of Montgomery, 12-1, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Eagle Diamond.

Bravo Mota had two hits to go along with sophomore Lott Putnam’s three to lead the offensive onslaught.

The big right hander Lott Putnam also got the starting nod for Conecuh Springs and did not disappoint. Putnam allowed 1 run while scattering four hits. He fanned twelve Eastwood hitters and allowed no walks over five innings of the mercy rule shortened contest.

The Eagles will be in action again on Thursday April 15 at Eastwood Classical in Montgomery.

First pitch at Buddy Watson park is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
