A shooting occurred at Club Faces on November 26, 2020, about 2:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Union Springs Police Department was called about the shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a black male suffering from what seemed to be gunshot wounds.

The victim was identified as Michael Dewayne Washington.

He was transported by Haynes Ambulance Service to Bullock County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

There are some people of interest as suspects about this case, while this investigation is ongoing.

“We are asking the community to put their weapons down and embrace each other to put an end to the violence. We are asking the community to pray for the victim and the suspects in this case so we can become the community of ONE”, stated Chief R. L. Felder.

Currently there is no other information available about this ongoing investigation. Union Springs Mayor Roderick Clark stated, “Violence is something that will not be tolerated in Union Springs, Alabama.”

The investigation is being conducted by The Union Springs Police Department, Investigator Lieutenant G. Lewis.
