The Christmas tree at the Union Springs Nutrition Center was decorated by members of the Chunnenuggee Garden Club on December 1, 2021, to be enjoyed the entire month of December 2021 during all the Christmas parties held there. The senior citizens who attend the Center on weekdays drew names for exchanging Christmas gifts. The annual Christmas party for the senior citizens at the Union Springs Nutrition Center was held on December 23, 2021. A Christmas program was held with Tommie O'Neal, the M.C.

John D. Cox led the reciting of the pledge to the USA flag. Tommie O'Neal and Lillie Williams led the singing of Christmas carols.

Solos were sung by Clara Rodgers, Tommie O'Neal, and Gene Reese.

Speaking their testimonies on how "good the Lord has been to them" were Alberta Anderson, Clemmie Avery, Robert Long, John McGowan, and Spencer Johnson. Evangelist Aronia C. Pritchett presented a brief sermon and prayer.

The Center Manager read the names on the gifts under the tree and distributed them. When each person opened their gift, the name of the person who drew their name was inside the wrapped gift. There were many spoken words of appreciation for the special gifts.

A buffet lunch was enjoyed that included meatballs, chicken wings, chicken salad, and Waldorf salad with chips and crackers. Strawberry shortcake was the dessert. The table that held the tea and soft drinks featured a Manger scene of the Holy family and angels on that first Christmas.

All left with a box lunch from the Nutrition Center while speaking wishes for a "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" to everybody. The Center was closed for the Christmas holidays and opened on Monday, January 3, 2022.
