The legal "drinking" age in Alabama is 21.

It is now legal to have alcohol delivered to the homes of anyone in Alabama 21 years of age or older, beginning October 1, 2021. This is new "alcohol delivery legislation." To purchase alcohol and have it delivered to your home is said to be a "great convenience."

A business in Bullock County can now apply for a license to the Alabama ABC board and pay $350 in fees to be able to deliver alcohol to an individual's home.

It is believed that there will be a lot of private package stores. Grocery stores that now deliver to homes will be able also deliver alcohol. Restaurants that deliver alcohol to homes must include a meal with the delivery.

There will be a daily maximum of quantities that can be delivered for "beer, draft beer, wine, and spirits."

The ABC Board is preparing to carry out the alcohol delivery legislation to have details worked out by October 1, 2021.
