Mrs. Linda Dykes Helms is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Rebecca Nicole Helms of Montgomery, Alabama, to Mr. Jason Benjamin May of Union Springs, Alabama.

Miss Helms is the daughter of Mrs. Linda Dykes Helms and the late Mr. James Wesley “J.W.” Helms, of Montgomery, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Merrill Frank Dykes (Betty Jean Gentry) and the late Mr. & Mrs. James Alvin Helms (Tommie Lou Baxley) all of Louisville, Alabama.

Mr. May is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben William May of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and the late Mrs. Bonnie Jordan May of Andalusia, Alabama. He is the grandson of Mrs. Kizzie Phelps May of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Robert “Bobby” Eugene May of Union Springs, Alabama, and the late Mrs. Mary Lucille Austin Jordan Green and the late Mr. Clint William Jordan of Josie, Alabama.

The bride to be is a graduate of Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery, Alabama.

She received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Auburn University Montgomery, Alabama, and a Masters of Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She is currently working on her Masters of Christian School Administration and Leadership from Bryan College Online from Dayton, Tennessee, with a projected graduation date of August 2020.

Miss Helms has been in the field of Education for the past 15 years and is currently employed at Conecuh Springs Christian School in Union Springs, Alabama.

The groom to be is a graduate of the former Bullock Memorial High School of Union Springs, Alabama. He studied at Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida. Mr. May is currently employed as Assistant Manager at the Piggly Wiggly in Union Springs, Alabama.

The wedding is planned for February 29, 2020, at Eastmont Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama.
