Dajuan Davie was captured Friday, September 24, 2021.
Davie was wanted by the Opelika Police Department for alleged charges of Sexual Abuse, First Degree.
Thanks to the community, Sheriff Rodgers was led to the whereabouts of Davie.
The sheriff, deputies, and other law enforcement went to a home on Lee Loop Road in Union Springs about 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
Davie fled out the back door but was captured after a foot chase in a wooded area close to the home.
Bullock County Sheriff Raymond Rogers said, “Stop saying if it’s not mine, don’t worry about it. It takes the community to solve crimes. People have to tell us so we can do something. Regarding the shootings going on, if a person doesn’t tell us, we can’t solve the crime. Watch out for each other. The community solves most crimes.”
Please call the sheriff’s department at 334-738-2670 or dial 911 if you have any information regarding illegal activity in the county.
