Children’s Summer Theatre Camp 2014

The Tourism Council of Bullock County is pleased to offer the second Red Door Theatre Children’s Summer Camp. The camp will take place June 7-13, 2015, and will be led by well-known director Kathryn Adams Wood, a native of Union Springs.

She was part of the first graduating class of The Alabama High School of the Fine Arts held at Samford University. She then went on to graduate from Troy with a degree in education and music.

Kathryn spent seven years working with The Henry Players in McDonough, GA. She won director of the year from the Metro Atlanta Theatre Awards for her production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Kathryn has conducted children’s summer camps in Jonesboro, GA, where she lives with husband Bob. In December 2013, she directed the very popular Papa’s Angels at the Red Door and is this year’s director of Conecuh People.

Camp participants will learn acting techniques & rehearse and perform the play, “Winnie the Pooh.” Two classes will be taught. Morning classes will consist of children entering second to fourth grades; and afternoon classes will include children entering fifth to seventh grades.
