Sen. O. J. “Joe” Goodwyn has named John Allen Crook of Union Springs as a Bullock County Coordinator of the Goodwyn Campaign for Lieutenant Governor.
Perry Cole was busy last week getting eroding areas and rough spots smoothed to a mowable surface. Lime and fertilizer will be worked into the soil. Bahia grass will be planted the first part of next month.
Ben Main, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Pete) Main, will be associated with his father in operating the family drug store at 302 N. Prairie Street, the family announced today.

Sgt. William H. Turner who has been in the Pacific with the Army Signal Corps for the past fifteen months is now back in New Caledonia. After a year in the combat areas, including the Philippine Islands.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fenn entertained on Friday evening at Bridge in complement to Mr. H. C. Chappell and Mr. F. H. Anderson, Jr., who left on Tuesday for military service. In totaling the scores Mr. Chas. Williams received the high score award, Mrs. F. B. Smith T., Jr. of Opelika, was winner of Bingo, and Mrs. F. H. Anderson, Jr., the consolation.
