Mrs. Billie Pirnie, owner of the company, continues to show insight and innovations when it pertains to providing “up-to-date” technology for the customer of this communication company.

Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Singleton of Woodbridge, Virginia announce the birth of an 8 lb. 8 oz. girl. Her name is Caitlin Grace. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Singleton of Union Springs, AL and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Fletcher of Greensboro, AL.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tompkins motored over to Montgomery Saturday night to have dinner and go to a movie to celebrate their twentieth wedding anniversary.

Jerry Green, Marvin Driggers, Andrew Green, Renaldo Singleton, Tommy Adams and Billy Brabham attended the annual NASCAR at the Atlanta National Speedway where Cale Yarborough won, averaging better than 132 miles an hour.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Montgomery attended a Beauty and Barber show at the Ralston Hotel in Columbus, Ga. on Sunday.
Craig Phillips was honored with a surprise birthday party Saturday afternoon when his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Phillips, entertained at their lovely home in Myrtlemeade. Twenty-three of Craig’s friends enjoyed this happy occasion with him. The young group enjoyed a ballgame and other festivities and then were invited to the gaily decorated den where the white birthday cake, decorated with blue, was glowing with birthday candles.

Friends of Lynn Jinks, Jr., of the Naval Air Corps, U.S.N.R., stationed at Milton, FLa., will be interested to learn that he has been promoted to the grade of Petty Officer 2-C.
On Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Edwards informally but delightfully entertained the Tucker-Whitaker bridal party, family and out of town guests, with a buffet supper, after the rehearsal. The home was charmingly decorated with white roses and graceful ferns. The table was covered with Italian banquet cloth and a delicious buffet supper served, silver candelabra with lighted tapers and comports of white and green mints being placed at each end of the table.
