The local Twentieth Century Club opened a new season with a meeting at Betty Cramer’s home on September 8, 2009. The program was given by Club President, Connie Jones.
Daniel Adams poured in 25 points to lead the CSCS junior high boys’ basketball team to an overtime upset victory over visiting Eastwood Christain 33-31 on November 7.
Auditions for the production of Catfish Moon, to be presented under the direction of Fiona Macleod at the Red Door Theatre will be held Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher S. (Lissa Rutland) Rand announce the birth of their baby daughter, MaryRutland Harris Rand, on November 8, 1994 at Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rutland of Mitchell, Alabama and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Rand of Canton, Georgia. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stone on Union Springs. MaryRutland was welcomed home by her sister, Elizabeth Rose.
Mrs. John F. Moorer was hostess for the luncheon meeting of the Annie B. Walker Garden Club on Thursday.
June Ray Jones is doing nicely after having surgery at Jackson’s Hospital in Montgomery. Friends wish her a speedy recovery.
