On Friday, October 25, 2019 the Conecuh Springs Christian School (CSCS) Eagles hosted a semifinal playoff game against Victory Christian from Millbrook. A back and forth contest eventually saw the Eagles come up short by a score of 38-28.
Leading the offense for Conecuh was Cesar Bravo-Mota, rushing the ball 15 times for 50 yards and 2 touchdowns (30 & 11).
The air attack struggled at times but did manage 2 scores. Lott Putnam threw the ball a career high 23 times, connecting on 9 of them, for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the receiving end of the touchdown passes were Cesar Bravo-Mota (18 yards) and A.J. Taylor (22 yards).
The Eagle defense did a great job throughout the contest keeping the game close. Leading tackler was Efraim Perez-Vaquero with 7 ½ tackles, 1 sack, and a fumble recovery.
Also in on the action was Tristan Mosesly with 4 ½ tackles and Ivan Rodriguez with 4.
Overall it was a great effort on both sides of the ball but the Eagles couldn’t capitalize on turnovers and mistakes by the opposing team.
It was a great season and the foundation has been built for many future successful seasons.
