After taking down Randall County the Hornets advanced to the regional tournament at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery. The next opposition was the Opp High School Bobcats.

Opp opened the game with a full court press defense, but to no avail. Bullock County started with a smooth flow on offense. Their outside shooting was very efficient throughout the first quarter. Along with their outside scoring the Hornets had transition points.

With the combination of quick scoring and a tight defense Bullock County were on a 12-0 run early in the first quarter. Throughout the first quarter the Hornets had great ball movement which resulted into inside scoring. In the second quarter the Bobcats closed the paint forcing the Hornets to shoot from perimeter.

Even though Opp were closing the gap, Bullock County had a late second quarter surge to give them a comfortable lead 24-16 by halftime. Cedric Nichols, was the hot man during the first half scoring 11 points (16 Total Points) with 3 of 6 from the 3-point range.

The second half began sluggish with a slow offensive movement during the third quarter. In the fourth qurter, Bullock County sparked the momentum they jolted in the first quarter. After a sluggish first half, Dontavious Blue (14 Total Points) lead the way to help the Hornets get a nice lead.

The Hornets also outrebounded the Bobcats 49 to 37 preventing second chance points. With the fourth quarter push the scoreboard showed the Hornets coming out as the victor with a 58-46 win.
