The Hornets ended the season with a 6-5 record.

By Darius Cates

Last Friday the Hornets traveled just outside Tuscaloosa to Gordo for their first playoff game versus the number one undefeated Green Waves of Gordo High School.

It was a complete domination against Bullock County. The Hornets were outshined for the whole duration in the game. The Green Waves were just too much for the Hornets to handle the size, speed, and experience.

On the offensive end Bullock County was one dimensional with the running game. Despite Kendeous Owens rushing for more than 100 yards, the Hornets were not able to cross the goal line.

They were also limited in their passing attacks. Not once did Bullock County gain at least 20 yards on passing plays. Bullock County could not make any stops on defense showing their lack of focus and playoff experience.

Penalties were very costly against the Hornets. As the result the Green Waves destroyed the Hornets 36-0 to end Bullock County’s season. Bullock County did finish the year with promising seasons in the future.

The Hornets ended the season with a 6-5 record.
