Randerious Byron Scott

Carter Funeral Home announces the unexpected transition of Mr. Randerious Byron Scott, 20, of Union Springs, Alabama.

Affectionately known as Rudy, Mr. Scott, a student at Alabama State University passed away Friday, September 6, 2019. Celebration of Life Services were held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Union Springs, Alabama.

The eulogy was rendered by the pastor, Rev. James N. Robbins, Sr. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery. Public visitation was held Friday, September 13, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.

Mr. Scott laid in repose at the Church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services. A TIME TO BE BORN: Randerious Byron Scott was born July 13, 1999 to Dernaillee Sheree Youngblood and Roderick Edward Scott in Troy, Alabama.

A TIME FOR SALVATION: At an early age, Randerious accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully.

A TIME TO LIVE AND LEARN: “Rudy”, as he was affectionately called by all his family, friends, and teachers, received his education in the Bullock County School System. He was a Bullock County High School graduate, Class of 2017.

He was currently a sophomore at Alabama State University. “Rudy” loved football and much of his time was spent perfecting his craft for the game.

A TIME OF REST: Randerious departed this earthly life on Friday, September 6, 2019.

A TIME TO BE REMEMBERED: “Rudy” leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Dernaillee Youngblood and his caring father, Roderick (TaKeia) Scott; sisters: Katherine, Unique, Zahara Youngblood, Destiny Pearson, Zanyiah Snowden, and Laila Scott; brothers: LaQuentin, Camryn, Javon, and Roderick Scott Jr.; loving and caring grandparents: Randy and Deneen Youngblood, and Lisa Scott; uncles: Tyshawn (Camel) McNabb, Randy (Monica) Youngblood, Brandy (Vanity) Youngblood, Marcus Scott, and Willie Howard; very close and special cousins: Brishada Youngblood, Tykeivian Smith and Kendarius Ivey; best friends: Jarvis Burgess, Marion Simpson, Jared Holmes, and Roderick Burgess; a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
