On March 10, 2020 at approximately 8:51 p.m., two males with facemasks on and carrying a shotgun ran into the Midway Dollar General demanding money.

One of the males held the cashier at gunpoint and the other one took a small amount of money out of the cashier’s hand and then both ran back out of the store.

There were several people shopping inside the Dollar General at the time of the robbery.

A thorough investigation was done by the Bullock County Sheriff Department and two arrests were made.

One juvenile, because of the charge, Robbery 1st, was charged as an adult. Kevonte Swift is an adult and charged with Robbery 1st and both are in the Bullock County Jail.

Both bonds have been set at $30,000 professional each.

Sheriff Rodgers said, "I want to thank Chief Deputy Anthony Williams and Sgt. Chad Faulkner for an outstanding job on this investigation.

"I want to remind the businesses to make sure you have a good security system and make sure it works!"
