Michelle Daley, age 32, was diagnosed with breast cancer, stage one, in February 2019. The treatment was to remove the lump from her breast and have fourteen rounds of radiation, Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. each day in Opelika. She went into remission in April 2019.
In August she had migraine headaches and cancer cells had spread. She hid this from her parents as long as she could. On June 2, 2020, the tumor/growth she has now is in her brain, and is called "Meningioma grade A."
She has had one round of radiation and her hair is thinning. She has no headaches but has a problem with short-term memory loss. She said lots of people have prayed for her healing, She says dealing with this now "is a mental thing."
Her eyes shine when she speaks about her family. Two holidays are special. She has twin sons, Carter and Jackson, born on Christmas Day in 2015.
She remembers it was flooding with rain that day. Her son Kalen was born on July 4th, 2010.
