Monday dies in motorcycle collision.

Jeffrey Monday, Jr. was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car on Baskin Street. It appeared the car, driven by Jalay Delbridge, was traveling west on Tye Avenue.

After it approached the intersection of Tye Avenue and Baskin Street, the car turned left onto Baskin Street heading south. At the same time the motorcycle was traveling south on Baskin Street.

The motorcycle and the car collided. The motorcycle then left the highway and made impact with a roadway sign. Witnesses say the car left the accident scene and drove to a home.

Four individuals who were relatives or friends of the deceased went to that home, entered the home and assaulted the driver.

The four individuals have each been charged with felonies. According to Chief Danny Jackson, warrants have been issued for their arrests.
