Domestic violence has become more of an issue than most people realize, and it hits home more often than the average person may think.
On August 30, 2019, the Union Springs Police Department responded to a domestic violence call at 112 Phillips Avenue in Union Springs.
Upon arrival, officers observed a female victim with stab wounds to the chest. The victim was identified as Tracy Davis. She had been stabbed twice in the chest by her live-in boyfriend, Larry Rump.
Davis was transported by Haynes Ambulance to Baptist South.
Rump was taken into custody by police and transported to the Bullock County Jail. An investigation as to what prompted the stabbing is still underway.
