Dwayne Anderson, Fire Chief of the Union Springs Fire Department, gives a report to the Union Springs City Council once a month on the work of the fire department during the previous month.

These reports are filed in City Hall, because the monthly reports are reviewed and affect the cost of insurance premiums and coverage.

These reports give proof that the city has done all it can to protect its citizens and property when fire occurs. This is the report the Fire Chief gave at the August 5, 2019 City Council meeting for activities for the month of July 2019.

Fire Department volunteers had fire drills on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of July for training and maintenance care of the equipment.

Volunteers responded to these calls. July 5, Security light shorted out. July 10, Tree fire on Woodfaulk Road. July 13, Vehicle fire on Waugh Street. July 18, Wild fire on County Road 64. July 20, Power-line fire on Bloomfield Street. July 26, Wild fire on Daniel Road. July 30 Wild fire on County Road 31. July 31, Wild fire on Red Bird Circle. July 31, Wild fire on Highway 110.
