Abigail Grace Gaston was crowned Homecoming Queen of Guntersville High School at half-time of the football game on October 24, 2019.

She is the daughter of the Rev. Dr. Jackie Gaston, Jr and Mary Shea (Buchanan) Gaston of Guntersville, Alabama and the granddaughter of Faye Gaston and the late Jackie Gaston, Sr. of Union Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Buchanan of Huntsville.

She was escorted by her father and introduced at half-time of the football game as follows: "Abigail is involved in basketball, soccer, show choir, musical theatre, Marshall County Youth Leadership, Alabama Girls State, SGA, NHS, and FCA.

"Abigail also shows her involvement with the community by being involved with Grace Fellowship Church youth group service project and Blessings in a Backpack. Abigail enjoys playing guitar and singing solos.

"After graduating, Abigail plans to attend Auburn University to pursue a pre-veterinary degree.

"She wants to go to Auburn veterinary school for her graduate degree and come back to Guntersville and be a small animal vet. Abigail is so excited to be able to enjoy homecoming with her classmates one last time."
