The WOM (Women on Mission) of the First Baptist Church of Union Springs were hosts at a booth at the Chunnenuggee Fair on May 11, 2019 in downtown Union Springs. A report about the booth was given at the May 13, 2019 meeting of WOM. They gave cups of cold water, tracts with Bible verses in English and Spanish, Salvation bracelets, and Gospel coloring books with crayons.
Amy Hall, mission action projects chairmen, reported that WOM members distributed plastic Easter eggs containing Bible verses around Union Springs. Money was sent in of the donations from WOM members to the "Pure Water, Pure Love" project toward purchasing water filters and digging wells in areas where Southern Baptist missionaries serve. More projects were planned.
Gail Barr opened the meeting with prayer and leading the reciting of the WOM watchword in unison. She was the hostess and served pizza with fruits, etc. Sandra Till prayed the blessing on the food.
Amy Hall taught the Missionary/Prayer Focus about missionaries in Ohio and the ministry to foster children. She prayed especially for missionaries with May 11 birthdays. She distributed a peanut and chocolate sweet-treat she had made.
Mona Crawford taught the Bible Study based on the book of Ruth and ended it with prayer.
Sandra Till gave the report on cards mailed to the sick and bereaved in April. Vicky Hall reported that 37 people were served on May 2, 2019 at the church clothing room.The meeting was adjourned with prayer by Faye Gaston.
