The CAMO youth mentor program attended a lunch and learn field trip to the Alabama Wildlife Federation's Nature Plex in Millbrook, AL on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

Thirty four youth participants explored nature and learned about reptiles, amphibians, and aquatic life. The aquatic round up allowed the youth an opportunity to catch and identify fish and aquatic insects with a net.

After lunch youth participants cooled off during a Creek Hike while learning about aquatic biodiversity and wildlife.

CAMO youth were commended by group leaders and guides for their respectful behavior and for locating a record breaking amount of living things during the aquatic round up. The educational field trip was made possible by grant funding obtained through the Black Belt Community Foundation.
