Alonza Ellis, Jr., Chairman of the Bullock County Commission sponsors health fair blood drive

By Faye Gaston

There will be a bloodmobile at the Nutrition Center at 204 Baskin Street in Union Springs on Saturday, August 8, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Social distancing guidelines will be followed. The pint of blood you donate will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies.

All donors will receive free cholesterol screening and a free T-shirt. Donors must be age sixteen or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and show photo I.D. 16-year-olds require written parental permission.

This is a "Bullock County Health Fair Blood Drive" sponsored by Bullock County Commission Chairman Alonza Ellis, Jr., and vendors onsite. The sponsors say, "Give local blood, save local lives".

One pint of blood saves three lives. Visit the Donor Portal to find a drive or make an appointment at lifesouth.org
