Union Springs Elementary is the only elementary in the district. The faculty consists of 37 certified teachers, one guidance counselor, one ARI Instructional Coach, one Math Coach, two paraprofessional, one full time registered nurses, two custodians and six child nutrition program workers. The school houses students in grades Pre-K through fourth.

A special needs class is also located on campus. There are three pre-k classes located on the campus of Union Springs Elementary. Union Springs Elementary is committed to preparing life-long learners, college and career ready students.

Union Springs Elementary is committed to academic excellence; therefore, they offer after school tutoring and summer enrichment available to all students enrolled. All students are taught in an active learning environment.

Students in grades K-4 utilized Go Math, Reading Street and are provided rigorous instruction daily. Union Springs Elementary is the first school in the district to pilot a STEM Program. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The students utilize the Edgenuity Software Program to help increase reading comprehension, math proficiency and fluency as well as fostering success by helping students close learning gaps and achieve standard mastery.

Union Springs Elementary is an Alabama Reading Initiative, Alabama Math Science Technology, Engineering School, Schneider Electric Pilot School, and a Grief Sensitive Initiative School.

Union Springs Elementary School has numerous ongoing activities during the school year. These activities are Open House, PTO meetings, Career Day, Attendance Week to promote Attendance, Grandparent’s Day, Montgomery Biscuits Big Mo Reading Club, Book Fair’s, Accelerated Reader, Bullock County High School Football Team Readers, Read Across America, AEA- Be a Champ and Read Club, Read to Succeed, Kiwanis Club Dictionary Give-a-way (3rd grade), Time to Shine, Red Ribbon Week, Operation Graduation Week Family Math and Literacy Night, Child ID Program, Trunk or Treat, Holiday Programs and Jenks Parker Bible Literature Program.

Union Springs Elementary provides each student a holistic learning experience in a safe nurturing environment. We encourage the community and all stakeholders to visit and volunteer at our school.
